Go to local businesses and ask for donations. Some will give a gift certificate, some will give an item.
Also try contacting your local direct sales people (like Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware… ) They are usually quick to give something. You can go to http://www.dsa.org and find a list of companies, then from there you can go to their sites and look up your local rep.

I recommend going to local businesses and asking them to donate prizes. It's worked for me in the past.

Get local businesses to donate packages- such as a restaurant donating gift certificates & logo-ed drink glasses, or movie theaters donating gift certificates mixed with popcorn or candy, or golf courses donating gift certificates & a box of golf balls. The business will probably donate the gift certificates and then you could buy the coordinating accessories cheaply and place them in gift baskets together for a more enticing look.
Good luck!!
