I am looking for projects for a co-ed high school youth group. We're looking for things to make that we can then sell or auction off to raise money for a summer camp for kids with cancer. We're having a Bingo fundraiser and looking to have some additional items available to raise some extra money. Any ideas?? So far we have the following ideas: painted pots, knitted scarf, fabric covered notebooks, cookie in a jar kits. Help!! Our event is a month away!!
Do you have anyone who is clever with computers?
I ask this because you can get someone to make clever "covers" for candy bars (like Hershey Bars) and make them especially for your group. Then, you just cover the regular Hershey wrapper with your custom made wrapper! Sell you bars for slightly more than the stores do- maybe 55 cents or something like that.
Check the computer or recipe books for "Buckeyes." These are chocolate and peanut butter Buckeyes and they are delicious! You can put about 5 in a baggie and charge $1 for them.
If you are doing the bake sale route- put cookies in baggies and sell them at a set price (3 for $1).
You can also make 'mini' loaf cakes. Buy the small mini loaf pans at the grocery store and put in regular cake mix batter. Frost them and sell them for $5 a pop!
You could also do a raffle- get some gift baskets together. Ask local businesses for donations and put the donations in gift baskets. You can sell the tickets for $1 a piece or 6 for $5. Depending on the donations you can have several baskets or just maybe a few.
Good luck.

those landscaping edging that are curved are real pretty when they are painted white and you use stencils to paint the persons name or address or whatever they want on it . I paid $8.00 for mine and it has my last name on it with flowers painted on it also. I put it in my yard and plant flowers around it so everyone can see.
