Every year, each class at my daughters school raffles off themed gift baskets. This year they want to do something different. They want each class to be a little more creative, possibly something made/created by the students, that would suitable for the raffle. One class is painting a pottery item…that kind of thing. What other ideas can you think of that 2nd graders could do? Parents will donate money for whatever we come up with, but it needs to be fairly cost effective and simple.
They could collect recipes from their families and make a cook book. They they could get a plain apron and other cooking items to decorate and add to the gift basket.

How about they work together to make an ‘ABC’ book. Assign a letter of the alphabet to each child & have them draw a picture for it. Then, have them printed/bound together in book form. Extra kids can make the front & back cover, title page, etc…
