School Auction Blog

Everything about school auctions

My school has a yearly silent auction during our choir dinner. I need to raise about 500 dollars to have enough money for our trip to New Orleans. What would be some good ideas for things to auction off?

Our band has families donate baskets to the auctions and many are very creative . . . Junk Food, Gardening, Pet Basket, Handy Man, Kitchen, etc. People use different containers to hold items that are purchased inexpensively. Example use a bucket, put in car wash soap, drying towels, scented rear view mirror, tire gauge, etc.

If you are doing for an elementary school you can have each class donate a basket (assign different themes) and each student can bring in an item for the class basket.

Have fun!

i would suggest fruit baskets, flower arrangements, baskets with tea and cups (or small stuffed animal in it)

Check around on the internet for gift baskets. That will give you ideas. There are hundreds of different types of gift baskets. I make candle gift baskets. Just be careful how much you spend on each basket. They can get pretty expensive to make.
    Good Luck!
