For a silent auction we are hosting, do we need a program???
Posted by admin in fundraising auction
one that would have what the event is fundraising for. Where items are located, prices for the tickets for different raffles. is this necessary or just a waste of funds.. All additional expenses including this one would come from my personal pocket…..
It is to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
OK you can go on Microsoft on line(if you have a legal copy) and download every thing you need there are programs, auction bid forms fliers etc. You cost will be ink, paper and your time.
Yes you do need a program. What are you trying to raise $$ for?

Been there done that.
I have been to many silent auctions and there has been no "program" on paper if that is what you mean…but, yes, someone will have to "host" the auction and stand up and tell what it is for. ..Now, you may want to put "fliers" advertising the auction and put them around various places, in windows of businesses and such….but when you get to the actual auction, I think just a "host/hostess" would be ok…..In my case, our church has raised alot of money for people in our church to go to Russia on a mission trip……..Your auction could be to raise money for someone who is sick, etc. but to have a program to hand to people as they come in, I don’t see the point in this as long as you have advertised it and the people already know what it is about. Hope this helps..and good luck with it.
