My area is saturated with silent auctions but the fundraising committee I belong to would like to still have one as the prior year it was fairly successful. However, I am looking for ideas that would make it unique and memorable.
Post them all on ebay!
Give out flyers letting everyone know to go bid.
It saves time, adds fun, is diferent, and has a bigger audience for more exposer! Be sure to mention it’s for your cause.
Ebay has a special section to list things with a cause for extra attention.
Good luck!
Each grade is responsible for putting together a basket for the silent auction that has a different theme. One of my kids has "preschool fun" and the other has ‘family movie night." I would appreciate ideas for either. Thanks for your help!!
Sounds like a fun event. Here are a few ideas off the top of my head.
Preschool Fun:
– books
– craft items (construction paper, crayons, markers, beads, glitter, etc)
– small container of plastic animals
– toy cars
– stuffed animal
Family Movie Night:
– popular children’s movie
– microwave popcorn or popcorn popper with popcorn seeds
– box of candy, licorice rope
– pillow (for when the parents fall asleep
We recently ran a fund-raising night for our local Primary School; a race night (where you place bets on horse races). We raised £1500 (a lot for our school) but we have run race nights for three consecutive years and attendance is dwindling so we are looking for new ideas.
We would want to raise similar amounts of money. Ideally the event will:
i) involve spending money on the night
ii) involve people bringing their own alcohol
iii) not require us to beg for prizes (we do a lot of this already, so raffles / charity auctions are not suitable)
Any ideas
try a casino night you can hire a roulette table set up consisting of a wheel and printed table cloth and chips which you sell to punters to play with we used to do it in our social club to raise money for charity
