I belong to a mother’s of multiples club. We hold an auction-live and silent every year. What I have noticed is that most of these mom’s come looking for a bargain rather that looking to support our club financially. How can we change that?
I am looking for ideas to get people to the auction and when they are there-get them spending.
Maybe you need some new marketing techniques or a new development plan. Make sure those who are invited to the fundraisers know where the club spends it’s money and why it’s so important to donate (buy something) and what the club means and it’s importance to the community.
I’m doing a project for school that will be promoting an art auction. It’s an animal themed event that raises money for an association that spays and neuters animals. The name I have for the event is "The Critter’s Canvas". I’ve just hit a major creative block and can’t seem to get past it.
The promotion includes a poster, and an invitation. What I have so far: a "defaced" print of the Mona Lisa (or some other famous painting) with paw prints and doggie/kittie ears painted over it. I haven’t a clue for the invitation yet, but I was planning on including an auction sign as part of the mailer. Any ideas? Know of any good websites that I could check out for inspiration?

I’m making a trailer for our school’s Senior Auction, where students get auctioned off as flunkies. Ideally, I’d love to have a song like something by Bowling for Soup or Weezer, with really funny clear lyrics about people in high school, but any songs about auctions or buying or selling would be appreciated!

I got nominated to attend the NYLC in Washington D.C. and it’s breathtakingly expensive. Im going to do fundraising inorder for me to attend. I have two ideas so far and they are: car wash and a date auction.
