Lot 40: Stephen Powell’s “Sassy Tangerine Pooch” was created in 2006 and is 30″ x 22″ x 18″ and has an estimated value of $22,000. Powell is best known for his large-scale dramatic multi-colored vessels. He is a professor at Centre College in Kentucky.
Since 1971, Pilchuck Glass School has been the primary force in the evolution of glass as a means of artistic expression and this auction continues that proud tradition, featuring over 70 items by established and emerging glass artists including Dale Chihuly, Lino Tagliapietra, Dante Marioni and others.
